Sherin Omran

Master of Counselling, Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling
I hold a Master of Counselling degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Counselling from the School of Health Sciences at Murdoch University in Perth, Western Australia. I am also a Level 4 member of the Australian Counselling Association.
I am an experienced and intuitive transformational counsellor and life coach with a background that covers a range of theoretical models. I have helped clients with relationship issues, career and personal development, major life changes, goal achievement, family concerns, stress management and many other issues.
An earlier background working for international corporations and government agencies has given me direct experience and insight not only into what it takes to succeed, but also the importance of balance, perspective and creating meaning and fulfilment in one’s life. I am also a trained EMDR practitioner.

How I work

I take a holistic approach and tailor counselling and coaching sessions for each individual I see. I use a range of therapeutic techniques depending on the particular concern, including mindfulness, guided imagery, free drawing, sand tray and Gestalt work.

Each person has a unique life story and problems, and I work in a manner which honours and respects these differences. This includes being mindful of cultural differences. I work with people from many varied cultures, backgrounds and walks of life. I place high value on personal authenticity and aim to help my clients align themselves to their highest values, which leads to greater peace and happiness in their lives.

I am fully insured and adhere to the Australian Counselling Association ethical frameworks.

I hold a Working With Children Check and National Police Clearance.
